  • Moving Update

    Just got back from our third trip to buy boxes and our second to donate stuff to charity.


    I think we have about 60 small and 30 medium boxes, slowing filling up the computer room. 


    Friday we load up a truck and start driving north. 


    Eleven years ago we moved into this apartment and I swore the next time we moved, it would be to a house.

  • I Can Has Mortgage? Update

    Yes, I am now a first time homeowner!

    On Monday, I signed a bunch of papers and Wednesday afternoon we met the realtor at the property and received the keys.

  • Independence Day Update

    First off, best wishes to the USA for a very happy 232rd birthday.  You don't look a day over 219!!

    Second, Chuk and I have been house hunting for the past month or so in Portland, OR proper.  We found one, put an offer on it and the offer was accepted.  If all goes well, the closing will be on the 30th of July.

    Third, work is going pretty well. I am still learning more about my function in the company and how best to work with the other departments.  Thankfully, my boss sits next to me and will give advice whenever I need it.
