Moving Update Part 3
We made it to Portland in about 12 hours.
Thankfully, there was no need to put on the chains. It was sunny when we went through Siskiyou Pass.
However, before we got to Ashland, the traffic stopped because of a freak truck collision. There were cabbages, lettuce and bottles of gatorade all over the road.
Lunch in Medforth at McGraths’s Fish House.
Now we are looking at apartment listings and planning our attack.

Mmmm! Gatorade. Let me know what it’s like up there…
Glad you made it okay. Dad is in Alpine; I just talked to him.
This must be exciting, fun and sad all at the same time. I imagine it is hard to leave SF, it is such a great city. But on the other hand, a more reasonable cost of living has to be nice as well. I have friends who live in Portland and really like it. Good luck on apartment hunting and the new job!
