We watched Battlestar Galactica: Razor last night.

I am not a fan of stand alone TV movies that are supposed to help fill in gaps between the episodes of a TV series.  Razor was one such movie.

I also am not a fan of the liberal use of flashbacks especially when they are used to create dramatic effect around a "secret " plot point that anyone with half a brain could have figured out in the first 15 minutes.  Razor had copious amounts of flashbacks and it was hard for me to keep track of where or when I was in the plot.

I think it would have been much better if all the bits were stringed out in chronological order.

I did appreciate the nod to old TV series with the use of the old model of Cylons.  That was about the only thing that was exceptional.  I don't know if it was worth the rest of the stuff, and some may say it was a bit contrived, but I am glad they worked it in.

  • Are you watching The Tin Man on the Scifi channel?  Are you all going to see the director's cut version of Blade Runner?  It's not on in Chicago.  Not that I would go to see it anyway.

I used up my last Landmark gift certificate after how many years?  They were lost for a couple of those years.
