    Eight Random Facts

    The rules:

    • Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
    • People who are tagged need to write a post on their own blog (about their eight things) and post these rules.
    • At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
    • Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.
    1. I was in an after school program during grade school so some one took care of me while my parents worked.  One time, I walked all the way from the after school program to my mother's office.  I did something similar after church while visiting my grandparents, and walked from the churh to my grandparent's house.
    2. I attended a catholic school for grades 1 through 3.  I attended a private school for graded 4 through 8.  I attended a public high school.
    3. My first part-time job was working as a server for the catering department of a university.  It was about 4 or 5 hours a week and we got a meal included.
    4. I have been with my current partner for over ten years.  I think he might be the one.
    5. When I was younger I was told how lucky I was to have both sets of my grandparents still living.  Now, with only my paternal grandfather alive, I think I understand what they meant.
    6. I like my neigbhorhood, but I can't say I know my neighbors very well.
    7. Since moving to San Francisco, I have voted in almost every election.
    8. When I make crochet pieces, I usually give them as gifts, but when I do needlepoint, I usually keep them for myself.

  • #1 - my sister did that once... when she was 7 years old.  She followed a vegetable cart from school, home -- in Costa Rica.  Nearly gave my parents a heart attack. (Lucky the cart did follow the same route that day as it usually did!)  #2 - I went to homeschool until 1st grade, when I went to a 1-room school house, then from 2nd-11th I was in private Christian school except for 4th and 12th grade in public school. #3 - My first part time job was stamping books in the evangelism department at the mission my parents worked for. No benefits, although I could slip out to the snack bar for fresh french fries any time I wanted.  #4 - That's nearly as long as my husband and I have been married!  Sounds like a good match   #5 - I miss my grandparents.  I wish I had a clearer memory of my grandpa who died when I was 2 (but at least I do remember him!) #6 - I'd like to move, although our neighborhood isn't bad, it's not as nice as it used to be.  #7 - I voted in every election since forever - even worked a few, back in the day - but I'm so disgusted with politics and politicians in general anymore I'm always tempted not to vote at all. #8 - Crocheting annoys me - except when someone else does it. LOL   You crochet well, too! (Thanks again!)   I get too irritated with counting and details. My creative bent runs in writing, art, or woodworking.
